To be recited at my wedding

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seem to lose
With my lost saints- and I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!- and, if God choose,
I shall love thee better after death.

October Daybook

Join in the Daybook fun here!

Outside my window...
is a beautiful, clear, cool morning. Fall is finally here!

I am thinking...
about all of the exciting things coming up in the next two months.

I am thankful...
for so much. I'm lucky!

From the learning rooms...
isn't overly busy at the moment. Round 2 of tests and papers begins next week, though.

In the kitchen...
is nothing at the moment. I think I'll go toast myself a bagel and add some schmear.

I am wearing...
gray Mizzou baggy sweats and a black Mizzou Homecoming t-shirt. Working from home calls for comfy clothes. :)

I am creating...
blogs for work, I guess.

I am going...
to Houston in a month to see my best friend marry the love of her life!

I am wondering...
what exactly my future holds.

I am reading...
Tennyson's "In Memoriam" for my British Literature class.

I am hoping...
that I receive a little direction in my job search sooner rather than later.

I am looking forward to...
this weekend to relax, get caught up, and sleep in a little bit.

I am hearing...
"Will & Grace" on TV.

Around the house...
is quiet and comfortable.

I am pondering...
nothing really, at the moment.

One of my favorite things...
is catching up with friends.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
work today, dinner with the family tonight, school tomorrow, dinner with mom tomorrow night, and work on Friday

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Let's! Go! Rangers!

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Move over, Brangelina. There's a new, wayyyy hotter Mr. and Mrs. Smith in town! (Or in Missouri, but whatever...)

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of going to Missouri to witness one of my favorite couples tie the knot. Alex and Harrison got married at her grandmother's house in a beautiful garden-set wedding. The ceremony was so heartfelt and reflective of them as a couple, and the reception was a party. Everyone was on their feet, dancing, drinking, and having a great time- just the way it should be!

I'm pretty much a crybaby 24/7. A happy sentiment, a sweet card, a touching story- cue the waterworks. Surprisingly, however, I haven't cried very much at the weddings I've been to in the past. That was not the case during Harry and Alex's wedding, though. When Alex walked down the aisle (looking stunning, might I add), when Harry burst into tears when he saw her, and when Harry and his mom shared a dance, I lost it. I'm so, so happy for this wonderful pair, and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

An awesome rehearsal dinner + a beautiful wedding + reconnecting with so many friends + lots of love + spending the entire weekend with Boyfriend (wonderful, as always) = an amazingly perfect weekend, and I really couldn't ask for anything more.
Boyfriend in a tux? Yes, please!
